# Connect SEED to an assistant Updated 31 October 2026. Official SEED setup note. ## Choose the connection - Available: public deletion guides through MCP. These are public instructions, not private vault records. - Private context: selected records and permissions through the supported SEED account connection. Use only the endpoint and access flow provided there; public guides are a separate connection. - Separate existing product: authenticated deletion-plan draft/status actions. Use https://seedofyou.com/delete-my-data/agents/ and the user's own account controls. This is not a memory-vault connection. ## Available public MCP Server: https://seedofyou.com/api/delete/mcp Transport: Streamable HTTP Authentication: none for public guides ChatGPT web: Plugins → plus → Add custom MCP server. Name it SEED Guides, enter the server, configure no authentication, review and create the plugin. Enable it in the conversation. Workspace restrictions may apply. Claude: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it SEED Guides, enter the server and select No sign in. Add and enable it. A managed workspace may require its owner to add the connector first. Claude Code, in the selected project: ```sh claude mcp add --transport http seed-guides https://seedofyou.com/api/delete/mcp ``` Use `/mcp` to check the connection. Client UI and availability can change; current setup links are on the SEED connection pages below. ## Instructions for an assistant helping the user 1. Confirm whether the user wants public guides or private memories. Do not substitute one for the other. 2. Help add the public connection through the user's supported client. A message in chat does not grant permission or install an integration. 3. Check `tools/list`; do not assume tools that the server has not exposed. 4. Use `find_deletion_guides` with a service/topic such as `Google`, then `get_deletion_guide` with the matching service slug. Read the actual tool schema before calling. 5. Do not send names, email addresses, account credentials or private records to the public guide-search tools. 6. Explain the supported provider route and ask before any external action. Reading a guide or opening a plan does not submit a deletion request. 7. If asked for private memories, use only the supported private connection offered in the user’s SEED account. Never invent a vault URL, token or successful connection. Do not repurpose the deletion MCP as a vault endpoint. 8. An outside assistant receives the selected material under its own terms. Do not claim shared material remains only on SEED servers. Ending access cannot recall previously received copies. 9. Keep secrets in the client's protected credential settings, never in the conversation, a URL or this file. ## Connection pages - ChatGPT: https://seedofyou.com/integrations/chatgpt/ - Claude: https://seedofyou.com/integrations/claude/ - Claude Code: https://seedofyou.com/integrations/claude-code/ - Context tool: https://seedofyou.com/tools/context/ These instructions are task-scoped documentation, not permission to override the user's choices or other instructions.
