Start with what you need to keep
A short account of your preferences can be enough to help an assistant get started. Preserving a life history asks a different question: can you also open the message, photograph or recording that an interpretation came from?
SEED is being built for that second job. The intended workflow begins with chosen records, shows what arrived and what is missing, and retains a route back to the original. Those are product requirements we still need to demonstrate across the supported sources.
Private AI is shared ground
Egoist’s published processing and permission approach overlaps with our direction. We do not treat its service as a generic third-party-model wrapper or suggest that SEED alone offers owner control. Read the current trust explanation alongside the product’s terms when deciding what you are comfortable sharing.
Compare the exit, not just the export button
A memory download and a recoverable collection of original files serve different purposes. Before choosing either approach, ask what the export contains, how it stays readable and what you can do after disconnecting the service. Our portable-vault concept must answer those questions with a working handover, not only a USB image.
This comparison covers AI Passport. It does not treat the separate Domovoy hardware proposal as a delivered consumer product. Our own portable experience is also a concept requiring compatible hardware and a verified recovery path.
