Our long-term vision

A future that begins with your history.

Our long-term ambition is to explore how a version of a person could carry their history into a future of its own.

Follow our progress

A research ambition. Continuity remains an open question.

An imagined future. Illustrative imagery.

Our ambition is to preserve enough of who you are that a version of you could continue through life and history.

A version that could meet people, form new memories and develop a future of its own.

Begin with what you can preserve.

Messages, photographs, recordings and your own recollections carry parts of your story. A useful private archive has value today, while we investigate what more may become possible.

Explore representation before continuation.

A portrait grounded in selected records could let you examine how you are represented. It also gives us concrete questions to test: what it gets right, what it misses and how you can correct it.

Keep the ambition open to evidence.

We do not yet know what information would be sufficient, what fidelity could be achieved or what kind of continuity a future system could provide. A resemblance to a person does not settle those questions.

The direction is to preserve your choices alongside your history: what may be used, by whom and under what supported conditions.

Follow the Immortal vision

Follow the work on the archive and the research. Joining does not require believing that continuation will be possible, and using the archive should remain worthwhile on its own.

Is there a delivery date for a continuation? No. This is our long-term ambition, with unresolved scientific, technical and philosophical questions.

The next chapter

Begin with what you would hate to lose.

Keep the original and the story behind it. Your history deserves a home.
