The beta service
The current beta preserves Gmail messages and attachments selected by date range. Create an account with information you control and use only mailboxes and records you are entitled to access. Google sign-in and Gmail read-only permission are separate choices. The beta’s import and storage limits appear in the dashboard.
The service is in development. Imports can fail or be incomplete, and features may change. Keep an independent copy of important records. Check export files before relying on them as a backup. SEED does not guarantee recovery of records deleted at the original provider.
Your records and choices
Your records remain yours. You authorize the processing needed to preserve and provide the records you choose to import. You can disconnect Gmail, export saved data and delete your archive. Disconnecting a source and deleting a saved archive are separate actions. Recovery copies are scheduled for deletion after seven days, followed by a further seven days of Azure soft-delete retention. Deletion processing may take longer. Downloads you retain are outside that process.
Do not use the service to access another person’s account without permission, distribute unlawful material, compromise other accounts or disrupt the service. We may restrict use that threatens the security or operation of the service.
What is not included
AI conversations, health interpretation, biographies, sharing with agents, extra data connectors and USB hardware shown elsewhere on this site are planned experiences. They are not supplied by the Gmail beta. The service is not medical, legal or financial advice.
There is currently no paid checkout or automatic conversion to a subscription in this beta. Any later paid offer will show its price and terms before you choose it. Signing up for website product updates is separate from creating a beta account.
Guides and changes
The website’s guides use identified public sources. Provider interfaces and access conditions can change; follow the current provider instructions and your account permissions. Comparison articles are published by SEED, not an independent review organization.
