Independent stewardship

An independent mission. A future you choose.

An independent nonprofit mission for your identity choices and the preservation of personal memory beyond one company.

Your memories should remain yours. So should the decision about what they become. We intend to establish an independent nonprofit dedicated to identity choice and the long-term preservation of personal memory.

Your right to say no.

You should be able to refuse a digital version of yourself without buying an avatar service or handing over your life archive.

The nonprofit’s mission will include helping people express their choices, distinguish authorized representations from unwanted copies and seek help when their identity is misused. It will serve people beyond SEED’s customers.

Protection across services depends on their participation. We will make clear which services recognize these choices and what support they provide.

Your digital identity and permissions

Your memories beyond one company.

A family recording can matter long after the service that helped collect it. Keeping it usable means preserving readable files, supporting recovery and planning for a provider that cannot continue.

Any preservation arrangement must follow your instructions and require your explicit permission. Keeping an archive does not authorize recreating the person it records.

Independence that includes SEED.

The nonprofit must be able to challenge the company that helped establish it. That includes SEED.

You should be able to see who makes decisions, where funding comes from, how conflicts are handled and how to challenge a decision yourself.

What to expect.

The organization is not yet established. We will publish its legal form, governing body, funding and operating terms before offering protection or custody through it.

Seed of Life Inc. remains the service operator. Your vault will not be transferred to the nonprofit automatically, and a deletion request must not leave an undisclosed institutional backup behind.

Keep your choices with your history.

Begin with a private vault and useful ways to work with your memories. Keep an independent export or choose the USB vault. You can retain hosted access or separately request deletion of our content copies.

The same choice carries into the future: you decide what to preserve and how it may be used.
