Your digital life lives in many places. Seed of You helps you find what you can collect, preserve the original records and use the context you choose in other tools.
Start with the job you want to do. The ChatGPT plugin is a guided experience inside ChatGPT. MCP is a protocol that connects compatible agents to SEED, and can also support the plugin behind the scenes. The API lets developers build their own applications. These are different ways to use the same vault, with the same permission boundaries.
Find a way to preserve your data
The SEED ChatGPT plugin is designed to help with questions such as “How do I download my Facebook archive?” or “What should I save before closing this account?” It connects a preservation question to a source guide, the provider's official route and the checks that matter when the files arrive.
You do not need to share your archive to ask for collection guidance. Reading a guide is separate from connecting an account or starting a collection.

Give an agent selected personal context
An assistant helping with a project needs the relevant decisions and notes. A writing assistant may need a few examples you selected. Each should receive the material for the task through access you understand.
SEED's MCP connection is designed to make that selected context available to compatible AI tools. You choose what can be read and how long future access lasts. The connection does not give an agent your source-account passwords or permission to search everything in your vault.
Build an application with SEED
The API is for software that needs a predictable way to request supported SEED operations. Developers can design around a person's authorized records, bounded results and source references.
An application API and an MCP connection use different interfaces to the same permissions. A developer cannot use one to bypass a restriction in the other.
Choose the right route
| What you want to do | Start here |
|---|---|
| Find out how to obtain an account export. | ChatGPT plugin or the free guide directory. |
| Plan the sources to collect and check the received files. | Collect and preserve your data. |
| Bring selected context into a compatible AI assistant. | MCP documentation. |
| Add SEED operations to your own application. | API documentation. |
| Understand what a tool receives and how to end access. | Permissions and control. |
Know what you are sharing
Collecting information into SEED and sharing information with another tool are separate choices. SEED's core intelligence runs on infrastructure we operate. When you approve a handoff to ChatGPT or another external assistant, that recipient processes the information it receives under its own terms.
The permitted material also depends on the source and the receiving platform. A connection is not blanket permission to transfer every kind of personal information. Ending access stops future retrieval; it cannot recall information already delivered.

Availability
The website's preservation guides are available now, without signup. They cover 119 provider export routes and three ways to capture records directly. Guide coverage does not mean every source has an automated collection or import route.
The ChatGPT plugin, MCP connection and API form part of SEED's intended launch experience. Access is through the waitlist while those connections are prepared. These pages do not provide a public installation link, MCP server address or API credentials yet.
