The SEED vault

A private place
for your life.

Your memories are personal. So is what you learn from them.

Keep your history in a private vault, with intelligence that runs on our servers and control over what you share.

A private vault, illustrated. Your records remain yours.

No advertising use.

Never sold for our purposes.

No external AI APIs for core processing.

Why a vault

Some of your most valuable data is also your most personal.

A private conversation. A medical report. Your grandmother’s voice. The thought you never published.

Bringing these together can make your history useful in ways a scattered collection cannot. It also makes the boundary around them matter more.

Your vault exists to serve your life. We do not use its contents for advertising or sell your personal records for our own purposes.

Intelligence within the boundary

The AI comes to your data.

We run open-source AI models on private servers we operate. Your vault is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic or another external AI service to power SEED’s core intelligence.

The model runs here. Your archive is not handed to a model provider for this processing.

“Local” means local to SEED. The hosted service runs on infrastructure we control. It does not require an outside AI account.

Control you can use

Your choices shape
the vault.

Privacy is more than a setting. It is deciding what you keep, how it is understood and what happens next.

01

Choose what comes in.

Begin with a folder, a conversation or a recording. A connected source does not mean every part of your life belongs in your vault.

02

Decide what it means.

Review the interpretation. Correct a name or a date. Keep your original record separate from an AI summary or a later recollection.

03

Choose who receives it.

A family member, a professional or an assistant can receive the material you select. The rest of your vault stays outside that selection.

04

Keep a way out.

Export your records and their context. Keep an independent copy. Request deletion when you no longer want us to hold your content.

Protection has a practical foundation.

Encrypted archive files, account access controls and clear recovery rules. The hosted service holds the keys needed to process your records.

A deliberate way out

Share a piece.
Keep your private space.

A writing assistant can use the notes for one chapter. A clinician can receive the records for one appointment. Your whole life does not need to go with them.

Review the material and the recipient before you share. Connecting through ChatGPT, an API or MCP follows that same choice.

A vault you
can take with you.

Export your archive, or choose the USB vault. Keep your originals and their context in your own hands, with or without a hosted copy.

If you want your content only on your hardware, receive and check your vault, then request deletion of our content copies. Receiving a USB does not trigger deletion automatically.

Your future belongs to you

Preservation is a choice.
Recreation is another.

You can say no to an avatar.

Keeping your voice does not give permission to generate a new one. Saving your life story does not authorize a replica of you. Your instructions matter.

Protect your voice and identity

Your archive should outlast a company.

Portable records and independent preservation are at the heart of our nonprofit mission. A future for your memories starts with keeping your choices intact.

Clear answers

Know what
you are trusting.

Privacy depends on choices and real boundaries. Here are the ones to understand.

Read the privacy policy
Does “local AI” mean it runs on my computer?

For the hosted vault, local means on servers operated by SEED. The models run inside our infrastructure rather than through an external AI provider’s API. Your browser is how you reach the service; it is not where all of the processing happens.

Can SEED access the contents of my vault?

The hosted service holds the encryption keys and decrypts content to provide its features. SEED operates the service, and its hosting provider supports the infrastructure used to store and process your records. This is not end-to-end encryption where only you hold the key.

Which other companies help run the service?

Our hosting and service providers have specific roles. Azure hosts the service; Cloudflare handles traffic delivery and protection; Resend handles account emails and requested updates. Google is involved when you choose Google sign-in or a Gmail connection. Their involvement is different from sending your archive to an outside AI service.

What changes if I connect an outside AI tool?

The content you approve leaves SEED for that recipient. It then falls under that service’s terms and your settings there. Ending a connection stops future retrieval; it cannot recall information already delivered. Connecting a tool does not itself authorize advertising, data licensing or an avatar.

Does the USB vault automatically delete my hosted data?

No. You can keep both. If you want your content to remain only on your hardware, receive and check the USB vault, then request deletion of our content copies. Recovery copies follow the retention and deletion process in our privacy policy.

What this makes possible

A private foundation.
A life of possibilities.

Write your biography. Understand your history. Give an assistant the context you choose. The same vault supports each result.
